I forgot to mention that my husband and I renewed our wedding vows on Kauai 13 years ago and would love to visit Kauai again. Who knows? If we win the scavenger hunt we might renew them again!

  • Crystal

We should win the Hawaii getaway because we have never been to Hawaii and never even got to have a honeymoon (we’ve been married almost two years). My wife’s hours at her work have been cut down from 8 to 2 hours a day. As a result she cannot get unemployment. She has been job hunting since March with no success. In addition she’s about ready to complete a dual masters program with no job prospects. To make things worse, we’ve been trying to conceive for almost two years without success. Right now she feels like a failure as woman and as a person, even though I know that both of these issues are beyond her control. She is very stressed out and needs a break.I think this is the right remedy, maybe we will even come home with a Hawaii bun in the oven. Our favorite ResorTime resort is San Luis Bay Inn in San Luis Obispo. It’s only a three hour car ride from our home, a wonderful quick escape.

Ever since I was a little girl, my dream has been to visit Hawaii. I would dream my Barbie dolls lived there. I danced the hula, pretending to be in a show on a Hawaiian beach. As I grew older, I still have that same dream, and as I will turn 50 this October, I would love to finally live that dream come true. Except this time, it would be for real, with my husband of 30 years! So I would have to say that my favorite resort would be the Kaanapoli Beach Resort, still.

  • Sharon Straw

Aloha! This is my 2nd post for my 2nd entry! Hope I am doing this right! lol I love this site.

  • Stephanie Benjes

I deserve a Hawaiian vacation because I am a hardworking, single mother of three. Two years ago, I started a new career so I currently don’t have the means to finance a luxurious vacation or live extravagantly.

My favorite Resortime resort is the Carlsbad Inn in Carlsbad, CA

  • Kathy Van Pelt

I deserve to win a trip to Hawaii because it’s a beautiful place to be…so calm and relaxing. My favorite ResorTime resort? There are so many! I love the Point at Poipu resort in Kauai. I see that some of the pictures in your YouTube video are from there.

I would love to take my father to Hawaii for his 80th birthday. We were there many years ago but Hawaii had the worst weather in decades with NO rain. Even tho this sounds like heaven, it meant there were no waterfalls, flowers or rainbows. What’s Hawaii without flowers??? So he deserves a return trip to see what it is really like.

We did stay at the Ka’anapali Beach Club and would love to go back. It was lovely so I would have to say that is my favorite.

  • Gina Harper

My Mom desreves this vacation and here is why! My Mom is a Breast Cancer Survivor! She retired 4 years ago and has been taking care of others and not having the time to enjoy the free time and other benefits of retirement. She has had a ROUGH year. To the month, she has lost both of her parents (My grandparents). She flew several times during my Grandma’s Alzheimer’s illness to CA from IA to care for her. Recently, her best friend has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and her Uncle (Dad’s brother) is very sickly and taking care of her Aunt with Alzhemier’s. She is ALWAYS taking care of others and she DESERVES to have some rest and relaxation. She is so unselfish and I wish I could give the world to her!

  • Gina Harper

Sorry for 2 comments….but I forgot to mention that ANY resort from RT in Hawaii is a plus. My mom has never been to Hawaii. I stayed at the Ka’anapali Resort last year and LOVED it.

  • Joy

I was to Maui a couple years ago and it is a beautiful place to visit. I thnk everyone should go there in a life time. I can feel them calling me back!!!
Good luck to all, I would really enjoy this trip if I was the lucky one but I will be very happy for any winner!

I feel that going to Hawai’i is important to me personally and emotionally. My fiance and I purchased our time share with the intent of going to Hawai’i as a honeymoon trip. However, due to finances we never went. 15 months after we were married, my wife passed away, and I never was able to share the beauty of the isles with her. I would like to go to the islands in her memory.

My favorite resort I’ve been to has to be the Legacy Golf Resort. I don’t play golf, but the resort itself has amazing condos, a staff that helps without hesitation, and beautiful landscaping. The rooms are spacious and makes you feel the luxury you should.

  • Kevin

I think I deserve to win the vacation because I have 4 year old twins that really want to learn how to snorkel. I love all of resort time properties. Very family oriented.

  • Dave Rosenberg

Well after a trying year My wife and I could really use a break. We have not had a vacation since may of 05 which is the last time we have used our timeshare. Before that vacation, My wifes Grandfather passed cutting our vacation that we booked for 7 days into a 3 day trip. Since then my wifes mother succumbed to a terminal bout with breast cancer. Followed by her other grandfather. Grandma is now really ill and may not have long now. Now my wife is no stranger to people passing, as this is her job as cardiac intensive care unit nurse. But, as everyone figures out, its always different when its your mother, father, grandparent, ect. What makes it especially hard, is that it is all happening at once. Now my intention is not to sound like a sob story as much as it is to describe of how much this break is needed. I guess our favorite resort would be the San Diego, Escondido, from our 3 day trip. Thanks for the oppurtunity!

I personally don’t think I DESERVE to win…does anyone really? I guess I just think of things differently…and the word DESERVE can have many meanings. There are plenty of people who have already written in that have great / amazing / sad stories and should probably get a free trip! :o ) I have grown up being taught that you need to work hard to get all the things that you want and that nothing is FREE. To be thankful for everything you receive because it is a blessing. My parents taught me to treat others with respect and you will be respected. Those that go through life getting hand outs don’t really learn what it’s like to EARN something and what accomplishment feels like. I have worked very hard to get the things I have and am continuing to do so even more in these hard economic times. My husband has been laid off from his job so I have taken on 2 part-time jobs as well as my full-time to support us. He is a Navy Veteran who was on the USS Cole for 6 years (including when it was bombed in 2000) and he DEFINITELY put in his time and hard work! :o ) We were very blessed to be able to go to Hawaii last year for our honeymoon…something we saved for and are still paying off – lol! I wish everyone the amazing experience we had!! What’s my point here?? My purpose of trying to win this trip is not for ourselves – we had our amazing vacation, but for our parents, actually….who didn’t have the honeymoon that we were blessed to have. I don’t have a sad story or a tear-jerker to share…just the statement that I want so badly to give my parents this wonderful gift…to say THANK YOU for everything they have done for me over the years. All of the support they have shown and for teaching me such a valuable lesson that I will carry with me always :o )

Thanks for the opportunity…I deserve the trip to Hawaii because it has been three years since my last real vacation. I’m a hard working writer, author and consultant and ever since I got into the vacation industry, I’ve taken less vacations than I used to…how silly is that!

I’ve seen Bahama Bay Resort in Orlando and I’d love to visit Carlsbad Seapointe Resort, so either of those would qualify as my “favorites.”

    Thanks!

As parents of 6 children, it would be a wonderful vacation getaway for my husband and I. A large family is the best, but it would be great to have a getaway also. Neither of us have been to Hawaii but both have talked about that one day we would get to go on a vacation there.
My favorite would have to be Cancun/Mexico, even though I haven’t never been there, your site makes it seem like a place that I would love to see.

1)I just graduated college last week and am sad to say that I have barely traveled (I have only been to New York, NJ, Maryland, and Virginia) and have never been on a plane. Most of my funds I’ve saved up went toward my education and bills. My family would go on vacations back when I was in elementary school and we’d only go to Atlantic City. My parents would go off and gamble and my siblings and I would ho-hum along the boardwalk and find ways to pass the time. Not that I didn’t appreciate the trips to AC, I just wanted something more. As a little girl, I remember reading the ‘Sweet Valley High’ series and the book where the characters went to Hawaii. I remember wanting more than anything to go there. I would love an opportunity to go to Hawaii because it would be my first real vacation and a wonderful adventure as a post grad. It would also be a childhood dream fulfilled.

    2) My favorite Resortime.com resort is the Skyline Tower Resort in New Jersey. It is located in the only vacation spot I’ve been in, yet it has a strong connection to my childhood. It is located near the famous boardwalk, casinos, and an impressive carnival–there’s alot to enjoy there.

    1) I’m writing this for an entry in the Hunt4Hawaii Scavenger Hunt 2.0!!! Just to let you guys know I am doing all that i can do to get this vacation for my family. The reason i want to win this most importantly, for my parents. My dad work Baren’s Motor Supply moved from my home town De Witt, to Ceder Rapids.. which is about 1 to an 1-1 1/2 away. So my dad decided not to work so far away for 12 hrs. So he started his own company Bid Daddy’s Repair, He has enough work to keep him busy throughout the day but he’s still having troubles supporting our family of three. And when he comes home he’s to tired to spend time with me. As goes for my mother her work is hard, she at carfreshener. And the work she does looks likes it kills her everyday. She wakes up and 3 am and doesnt get hom till 5 pm yet she still has time to help me with homework, get me to my dance classes and drives me to go shopping. I really want this vacation for my parents and i to have a relaxing vacation and to spend some much needed time together!!! thanks for reading this ResorTime.com!!!!!!!!!!

    2) My favortie vacationspot would be The Westin Mission Hills Villas because it has so much of my family written all over it with a big open area and so beautiful and OUTDOORS… my favorite place to be. also everybody from my family has been to CA except me.:(

    Very fun idea!
The reason I hope to win this trip to Hawaii is because I haven’t taken a vacation in 3.5 years and my entire family is enjoying 2 weeks in France as I write. I just paid of $30k in debt from working, working, working and nothing sounds better as a reward than a fabulous trip to Hawaii. Plus, I will soon have 6 months of dreary, cold, sunless weather as we head into Indiana winter.

My favorite ResorTime.com resort is The Village at Steamboat Springs…fantastic and beautiful!

    Thanks for the opportunity!

  • Susan

I would love to give my husband a FREE vacation because he has been laid off despite working his tail off!!! He’s amazing and I lubs my hubs! :)

I have been to Hawaii twice…once to run in the Honolulu Marathon in 2003 for Team in Training (I raised $4600 for Leukemia & Lymphoma!) and the other was for our honeymoon which was amazing!! I’d love to take my husband as well as our parents who have never been and DESERVE to go!! My favorite places so far are the Hilton Hawaiian Village (Oahu) and Kaanapali Beach Club (Maui). Thank you!!

  • Laura

1.) I am a hard worker and bought my own house this year at the same time I started a new job. I have been so busy moving into my house and adjusting to a new job I haven’t had much time for myself. I could definitely use a vacation to HAWAII!
2.) My favorite resort is Waikiki Royal Kuhio Beach Resort

  • Jessica

I am currently a massage therapist in san diego and have had a life crash of sorts. My best friend and I are two of the same and happen to be the only people who can hold eachother up at the current moment. We both do the same thing and have wanted to visit hawaii our whole lives and are currently interested in learning lomi lomi massage and spreading it through our community. We had planned on trying to make it to hawaii in october for my friends birthday but due to life happenings with family, friends, and money we will no longer be able to have the escape together. I would like to take her on this trip and have the time of our lives together!

    2. My favorite resort is Ka’anapali Beach Club

    1. I want to take someone special to me and have a great time and create memories to last forever. I dubbed this my year of travel and I would love more than anything to make it to Hawaii! I am currently going back to school to be a teacher… working full time… I could use a break just like the rest of America. But I would cherish more than anyone…

    2. I love your Steamboat Resort! The village…
