Las Vegas has long been known as America’s Playground for Adults. That may be true but it is only part of the story.

The desert oasis has countless things for kids, that have nothing to do with gambling or casinos. This is good news for families looking for a Las Vegas getaway.

Shark Reef Aquarium in Mandalay Bay brings visitors face to face with some of the undersea world’s most fascinating creatures. Without leaving dry land the kids can peer into caves, grottos, and other subterranean passageways and see extraordinary wonders.

Sharks of all shapes and sizes, deadly piranha fish, jellies, giant rays, endangered green sea turtles, and the very rare golden crocodile, are just some of the more than 2000 species on the other side of the glass in over more than 1.6 million gallons of water.

Disney presents The Lion King, also at Mandalay Bay and it is a lot more than the movie of the same name, come to life. Dozens of singers, dancers and musicians in authentic tribal and animal like costumes create a sensory experience that will bring the eyes of children – of all ages – to tears.Children looking at an Underwater Aquarium.

Adventuredome at Circus Circus is five-and-a-half acres of fun and entertainment. Ride the thrilling Sling Shot that shoots you to the ceiling and back down again with breakneck speed or take a spin on the one of a kind Disk’O at an unbelievable 14 rotations per minute. It’s a real crazy trip that all the kids will love.

GameWorks is the state-of-the-art video playground sprung from the genius of Steven Spielberg and a joint venture of Sega Enterprises and Universal Studios. It’s 55,000 sq.ft. of the most game excitement under the sun and one visit just won’t be enough time to experience all it has to offer.

Whether you visit any or all of these Las Vegas attractions they really do just scratch the surface of what this 24/7 town has for families with kids.
